Dogs can find water at The Barking Rock (outside - weather permitting) and always INSIDE.  Every dog that comes into The Barking Rock is entitled to a free treat for that special canine welcome.  Check out our products shown in the categories section on this page.  The items shown are just a portion of what we have to offer.  If you are looking for something and cannot find it, we may have it in the store so please call us at (828) 295-8883.  Blowing Rock is a pet-friendly town, so bring your four-legged friends with you when you come.

 Whom We Support

Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show -  Begun in 1923, it is the oldest continuous outdoor horse show in America. Proceeds from the shows are used to support local organizations in the Blowing Rock area.

Caldwell Animal Rescue  A non-profit organization dedicated to eliminate the need for euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals in Caldwell County through compassionate intervention and community education. They envision a community that values animals and treats them with love and respect.

Eskie Rescuers United – A non-profit organization made up entirely of volunteers all across the United States.  Their mission is to help American Eskimo Dogs in need of rescue wherever they may be.

Humane Society of Wilkes – A non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to promoting humane care and treatment for all animals.

Watauga County Friends of the Library and Festival of the Book  - Their mission is to enhance the quality of the Library by providing resources not covered by state and local funding.

Watauga Humane Society – Their missions is caring for the abandoned and unwanted animals of Watauga County and its surrounding areas that have no animal shelters. They are a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals.
